Champagne at Lizotte’s

Daniel Champagne plays all of the guitar – body, fret board, headstock, sides – as well as the strings – with both hands, a style of music making that is quite remarkable.

I had a chat to him over a nice beer courtesy of Brian Lizotte’s wonderful staff out there at Lizotte’s in Dee Why – and what a great venue this is in Sydney … Live ‘n’ Cookin’ is right. Best cabaret style music and dinner spot in Sydney !

Now Daniel Champagne sure puts the fizz into any night out – he is a great guy – he didn’t laugh at my red socks or tell me it was past my bedtime. Daniel is talented and creative – and through this combination of dexterity, blending of sounds and rhythms he can make that guitar as lush, rich, dramatic or loving as any of the wave of drum machine and looping scientists can with all of their synthetic technology. I loved him.
