Top band with a lineup of wellknowns including Tony Cini (Blues Explosion) on the voice, Al Briton (Bondi Cigars) on the bass, Paul O'Brien (PJ O'Brien Blues Band) lead guitar and Bruce Stephens (King Bees) on the tins and skins. This week, The Hornsby Inn laid on three bands – first up, cover band, "Where's Gooch" .. I have no idea what that means if anything, but pretty good ..
Morse Jupiter
Morse Jupiter .. or was that "more stupider", I dunno – but it sure was a laugh – supported by a wandering, hamming-it-up John Hyde, a picture of sartorial elegance – plus some very accomplished musos, quality musicians .. these guys can often be seen in another guise, "The Dirt Track Demons". Not sure.
Shape
"Shape", an interesting outfit, pretty loud too, featuring a megaphone – I wondered at first whether we were going to get a version of Winchester Cathedral by the New Vaudeville Band. Alas, no … this is C21.
